Exterior DomesFor the Western United States, Domes 2000 will provide you with a complete dome system(s),
Most purchase orders should be placed right after plan check is approved (or) ground is broken. Call for estimated lead time on the type of dome your looking for. Lead times vary from 3-4 weeks for shop drawings, plus another 10-12 weeks after approved shop drawings and deposit is received. Dome installation: Dome installation usually takes place during the sheeting stages and or before roofing and flashing materials begin. Actual bolt down (or) welding to the building is to be by others. We suggest consulting with your sub-contractors about the extra man hours that will be required before finalizing contracts. Consider water drainage: Keep in mind that dirt and or a patina finish will easily stain the building if a gutter system is not used. When the plans allow, we suggest using a more cost effective roof drainage system. Curved Gutters, Flashing or Cornice: When smooth curved metals shapes such as gutters, flashing or cornice are required, we use soft copper, aluminum and some galvanized materials. We can stretch form almost any shape to fit the dome and building. We then palletize or package into a kit(s) for the local sub contractor already on site, to install and then include in their warranty package. Shipping: Wide load permits allow us to ship large domes in as few pieces as possible. Large domes outside California and Nevada may require special planning and possible involvement from your local labor force. Contractor is to provide a clean flat area next to the building on which the dome is to go. If not, a larger crane will be required at additional cost. Note: our engineer is licensed for California and Nevada only. |
